Nothing on this website shall form a binding contract between Laceys Event Services Ltd and any customer until a booking has been confirmed in writing and the required deposit has been received.
Through this website you may be able to link to other websites which are not under the control of Laceys Event Services Ltd. We have no control over the nature, content or availability of those sites and accept no responsibility for them.
By using this website you agree to these terms and acknowledge that any booking made with Laceys Event Services Ltd will be subject to our full Terms and Conditions in force at the time of booking.
Terms & Conditions of Booking

All equipment, products and hired goods remain the property of Laceys Event Services Ltd ("LES") at all times.

The period of hire shall commence upon delivery and/or installation and end upon collection by LES. During this period, the Hirer (person named on the booking contract) shall be solely responsible for all hired goods and should have adequate insurance in place for this duration.

From completion of delivery and/or installation until collection by Laceys Event Services Ltd, all hired goods remain at the Hirer's risk. Laceys Event Services Ltd accepts no responsibility for injury, loss or damage arising from the movement, misuse, relocation, alteration or use of hired goods by the Hirer, venue staff, guests or any third party once installation has been completed and our staff have left the venue.

The contract for the hire of goods is between LES and the hirer, not the venue unless goods are being hired directly by the venue. It is the hirer's responsibility to ensure that the venue is clearly instructed so that the terms and conditions are met and that hiring products conforms to your venues Terms and conditions by return. LES will charge the Hirer for any costs due to terms and conditions being broken and will not be held liable if hiring the products breaks venues terms and conditions. It is the responsibility of the Hirer to reclaim any costs from the venue or third party if the venue or third party was at fault.

Where Laceys Event Services Ltd is unable to fulfil its obligations due to circumstances directly attributable to LES, the Hirer shall be entitled to a refund of monies paid in respect of the affected products or services. Under no circumstances shall liability exceed the value of the relevant invoice. No additional compensation shall be payable. Where the fault is the responsibility of any other party then LES LTD, no refund will be due.

Laceys Event Services Ltd shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Such circumstances include, but are not limited to, severe weather, flooding, fire, acts of God, pandemics, epidemics, government restrictions, road closures, transport disruption, power failures, industrial disputes, venue closure, supplier failure or any other unforeseen circumstance beyond the reasonable control of Laceys Event Services Ltd.

All information including designs, colours and names for Table plans, place cards and other stationery items must be received by email to LES no later than one month prior to your date. If information is received later than this date we retain the right to use available stock and designs to best fit the information we have on file for you.

Changes to orders within one month of your event date will be subject to availability and may be subject to an admin fee of £45 and are subject to staff and stock availability.

8) Although we will try our best to get the closest match for any colours requested, we cannot guarantee an exact match will be possible. We advise you to arrange a colour match prior to securing your booking as refunds will not be given for cancellations of any items where an exact colour match cannot be arranged.

Suitable parking must be available for all delivery, installation and collection vehicles whilst our staff are on site. Any parking charges, penalties, additional travel time or costs incurred as a result of inadequate parking arrangements shall be chargeable to the Hirer.

A safe unloading, loading and access area must be available for our staff whilst on site for all set ups and collections. If not available we will be unable to unload or set up for your event. In circumstances where we are instructed to unload and move vehicles to another location for parking we reserve the right to make a charge for additional works under time not allocated plus expenses.

An adequate power supply must be provided for any electrical equipment hired. We deem it unsafe to daisy chain extension leads around a venue and will not do this. Refunds will not be given for items unable to be used because of inadequate power supply. LES will ensure all class 1 electrical equipment is adequately PAT tested with certification available to send to venue upon request.

Photographs of installations, styling, displays and events may be used by Laceys Event Services Ltd for marketing, portfolio, social media, advertising and promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to the event date.

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in our services, products, business practices or legal requirements. The version applicable to your booking shall be the version in force at the time your booking is secured by deposit. Any material changes affecting an existing booking will be communicated to the Hirer in writing.

The Hirer is responsible for arranging appropriate event insurance cover for their event. Such insurance may include, but is not limited to, cancellation, postponement, public liability, venue closure, adverse weather, supplier failure, theft, loss or damage. Laceys Event Services Ltd accepts no liability for losses, costs or expenses that could reasonably have been covered by an appropriate insurance policy arranged by the Hirer.

The Hirer is responsible for ensuring that all necessary permissions, approvals and venue consents have been obtained for any installations, displays, draping, hanging decorations, branding, signage, temporary structures or other works supplied by Laceys Event Services Ltd. Any costs, delays, refusals or losses arising from failure to obtain such permissions shall remain the responsibility of the Hirer.

Photographs of installations, styling, displays and events may be used by Laceys Event Services Ltd for marketing, portfolio, social media, advertising and promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to the event date. No personal contact information or sensitive client information shall be disclosed.

Any quotations, designs, concepts, visuals, mood boards, drawings, proposals and creative materials produced by Laceys Event Services Ltd remain the intellectual property of Laceys Event Services Ltd unless otherwise agreed in writing and may not be copied, reproduced, shared with third parties or used without written consent.
Deposits, Payments & Cancellation:

A 50% Deposit of each item is required to secure our services and products. Your order is not secure until we have received cleared payment of this deposit. If payment is being made by instalments, then the first instalment will be regarded as your deposit and will secure your order.

50% of all products and services is non-refundable in the event of cancellation, this relates to each item or service booked including but not limited to, timed collection, delivery fees, hire products and purchase products. If you are paying by instalments and have not yet paid 50%, you will be invoiced for the remainder at time of cancellation and will be required to settle this within 7 days.

The final balance is due one month prior to your set up or dispatch date. If you fail to pay your balance by the required date, we reserve the right to cancel your order and in the event that another event wishes to book for that day, they will take priority if a deposit has been received from them.

Cancellation by the hirer will result in the forfeit of the deposit and any monies paid. This applies to complete orders and individual items on your order.

For cancellation by the hirer of any events within one month of event date, Full balance will be payable. This reflects the fact that stock, staffing, production time and event dates are reserved exclusively for the Hirer and may be difficult to re-book at short notice.

Changes in numbers can be accepted up to one month prior to your date. Final numbers and order details must be confirmed no later than one month prior to set up or dispatch date. Any changes at all including changes to set up and collection times after this stage will be subject to availability and may incur a £45 administration fee plus timed collection fees.

A £150 or 10% Refundable Security Deposit, whichever is greater, is payable in addition to the hire charges on all hire bookings, to cover minor shortages and damages to hired goods. This will be invoiced for payment one month prior to your event, payable no later than 10 days prior to delivery date and will be returned once all hired stock has been checked back in at Laceys. This invoice constitutes part of your order and failed payment of this invoice may result in cancellation of your order and set up.

Security deposits minus any deductions will be returned upon collection or return of goods. After collection please log onto www.laceyseventservices.com/refunds and complete form for your refund to be processed. We aim to process refunds within 14 days of details being received but please bear with us during busy periods. Please do not send prior to your event as your contract will not be complete on the system and the details will be deleted.
Damaged & Missing Items

All products are counted and carefully checked by LES at time of set up. You are welcome to be present at time of set up or appoint somebody to be present to sign off your order before we leave the venue. If no representative of the Hirer is available to inspect and sign for the goods upon completion of delivery and/or installation, all goods shall be deemed to have been delivered in good condition and in accordance with the booking.

Charges will be made for any damaged goods. This includes but is not limited to; goods that have been dragged on the floor, ground in earth or grass stains, biro, burns, holes, rips, tears, chipped glassware, candles wax, grease or deep staining.

Most products are inspected for damage at the venue at time of collection. Exceptions to this may be items that have been bagged, such as chair covers, table linens, sashes and voiles. These will be taken back to our warehouse in the bags they are collected in and counted and inspected there. You are welcome to be available at time of collection to count and sign off goods with our collection team. Please let us know in advance so we can be sure to allow enough time in the days schedule for products to be counted and inspected onsite.

The use of real candles, naked flames or alternative light sources within or upon hired items is strictly prohibited unless expressly authorised by Laceys Event Services Ltd in writing. Charges will apply for any damage caused by heat, wax, smoke, staining, tarnishing or fire.

No artificial flowers, fresh flowers, foliage, decorations, signage or other items may be attached to, inserted into or used with hired goods unless supplied or approved by Laceys Event Services Ltd. Any damage caused by unauthorised additions shall be chargeable to the Hirer.

Shortages and damages to hired goods will be charged at full replacement value plus delivery to LES. No substitute item will be accepted by LES, this ensures all of our stock remains the same high quality for all clients.

LES will update the client area with a Credit Notice for the Refundable security deposit, detailing any missing or damaged items following collection. Goods declared as missing or damaged will be charged at full replacement cost plus VAT and delivery to LES. Any charges will be deducted from the refundable security deposit or where value exceeds the refundable security deposit an invoice will be issued to the hirer and must be paid within 7 days. LES reserves the right to use photographs, stock records and collection reports as evidence when assessing shortages and damages.

Additional courier charges or additional journeys for attempted re-collection will be charged at full mileage on return journey plus time. Our charges are 85p a mile plus £45 an hour or part thereof

It is the hirers responsibility to ensure all hired products are in the allocated collection area together at time of collection. If items are moved to another area or taken to hotel rooms, hindering collection, the hirer will be liable to pay for additional days of hire plus re collection fee if required.

Damaged goods, replacement items and any goods deemed beyond economic repair shall remain the property of Laceys Event Services Ltd unless otherwise agreed in writing.

The Hirer shall not permit any third party supplier, venue staff member, contractor or guest to dismantle, relocate, alter or remove hired goods without prior authorisation from Laceys Event Services Ltd. Any resulting loss or damage shall remain the responsibility of the Hirer.

Invoice will be due for payment within 7 days. Failure to make payment will incur a £35 late payment fee and statutory interest will be charged at 8% above the Bank of England base rate for late payment in accordance with the late payment of commercial debts (interest) act 1998. Invoices still not settled within 45 days of issue will be sent to an external debt collection agency with additional collection and interest fees being added to the account.

Where bespoke items, branded materials, custom signage, printed products, personalised stationery or made-to-order goods have been produced specifically for the Hirer, such items are non-returnable and non-refundable once production has commenced.
Delivery, Set up & Collection:

Goods must be ready for collection at the booked location at the correct date and time. A charge is made for an aborted delivery/collection by the courier and/or LES where the venue/hirer/customer is at fault.

DIY Orders: Goods must be packed in the boxes they were delivered in. If there is more than one box, the items should be divided equally between the boxes to stay within specific Courier weight limits. Charges made by the courier for incorrect weights will be charged to the Hirer and may be deducted from the Security Deposit.

All hired items including chair covers and table linen must be removed by the hirer prior to collection. An additional fee will be charged if Laceys Event Services arrive to collect and need to remove covers and linen from tables and chairs.

Tables, chairs and any venue furniture required for set-up must be positioned in their final locations prior to our arrival unless otherwise agreed in writing. Where furniture is not laid out and ready for installation, Laceys Event Services Ltd reserves the right to either leave products for self-installation by the Hirer or apply additional labour charges at its discretion.

If hirer is using table linen from another company other than LES they will need to ensure that table linen is ready at the venue & on the tables prior to our arrival. If linen is not available and tables cannot be set up then LES retain the right to leave items being placed on top of linen to one side for set up by the hirer or third party ready for when linen has arrived. At LES discretion and if timings allow LES may be able to wait for linen to arrive but additional fee will be charged for the waiting time for each staff member of £45 per hour or part thereof.

The hirer is responsible for the return of items not readily available at collection point. LES at their discretion may offer to re collect and this will be charged at mileage plus time to the hirer. If goods are not returned within 14 days of event goods will be deemed as missing (See clause damaged and missing items above)

Where a change of collection time is ordered by the venue/hirer with less than 48 hours notice, an additional fee of £65 will be payable plus the fee of the new collection option if applicable. Additional hire charges may continue to accrue until goods are recovered.

Where seasonal installations, Christmas displays or long-term hire items remain on site for an extended period, the Hirer shall remain responsible for the safe keeping, security and condition of all hired goods from completion of installation until collection by Laceys Event Services Ltd. Any loss, theft, vandalism or damage occurring during this period shall be chargeable to the Hirer at repair or replacement cost

Where installations, draping, hanging décor, branded displays or large-scale styling elements are installed at a venue, the Hirer must ensure the venue has granted permission for such installations. Laceys Event Services Ltd shall not be responsible for delays, restrictions or additional costs resulting from venue policies, structural limitations or refusal of installation permissions.
Carpet Aisle Runners:

1Indoor Carpet Aisle Runner is for indoor use as an aisle only. Use outside or for any other purpose than that of a wedding aisle, such as an entrance carpet, will result in deep cleaning charges or full replacement cost being charged to the hirer.

Carpet aisle runners must not be used on wet, muddy, uneven or unsuitable ground. Where the Hirer requests installation in such conditions, any resulting damage, staining or cleaning costs shall be chargeable to the Hirer.

We request that coloured fresh rose petals are not used on our aisle carpets without prior notice, this is because of the natural colour in most petals causing stain damage to the carpets.

Open flame candles are not permitted for use on our carpets due to damage by candle wax. Where wax is found on the carpet, the hirer will be charged at full replacement cost of the damaged runner.
Corporate Events, Brand Activations & Installations

For corporate events, branded installations, exhibitions, activations and bespoke displays, the Hirer is solely responsible for ensuring they hold the necessary permissions, licences, trademarks, copyrights and approvals for any artwork, branding, logos, graphics or content supplied to Laceys Event Services Ltd. Laceys Event Services Ltd accepts no liability for claims arising from materials supplied by the Hirer.

Where installations, displays or branded elements are approved by the Hirer prior to production, the Hirer accepts responsibility for any spelling, content, branding, measurements or design approvals provided. Amendments requested after approval may incur additional charges. Approval by email shall constitute acceptance of all measurements, content, spelling, artwork, colours and design elements.

Any temporary installations, displays, structures or decorative elements supplied by Laceys Event Services Ltd must not be moved, altered, dismantled or modified by the Hirer, venue staff or third parties without prior written consent. Any resulting damage shall be chargeable to the Hirer.

All quotations, mood boards, design concepts, proposals, visuals, drawings and creative materials produced by Laceys Event Services Ltd remain the intellectual property of Laceys Event Services Ltd and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, shared with third parties or used without prior written consent.
Drapes, Ceiling Canopies & Backdrops:

Starlight Backdrop is not to be positioned within 3ft of any dance floor or dancing area. At time of set up if the requested position of Backdrops is within 3ft of a dance floor or dancing area the contact at the venue at that time will be able to advise an alternative position or if no alternative is available the backdrop will not be set up. No refund will be due if no alternative position is available.

It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure that all dimensions, colours and fabrics for drapes and canopies are correct at least one month prior to event date. LES assumes no responsibility for incorrect measurements resulting in insufficient fabric for drapes/canopies or insufficient equipment brought along as a result of incorrect dimensions including heights.

It is the hirer’s responsibility to check with the venue owners and obtain permission for any fixing of made to measure drapes, swags and canopies. This includes but is not limited to checking if venues are listed buildings. Refunds will not be given in full or part if we are notified upon arrival that permission has not been granted. Nor will we be responsible for any damages invoices issued by the venue.

For erection of ceiling canopies a clear floor space is required, it is up to the hirer to ensure the area is clear prior to our arrival unless otherwise agreed with LES in writing due to health and safety / work at height regulations. If area is deemed as unsafe or unclear at time of arrival LES will not erect the canopy. In this instance a refund will not be given.

It is the hirer's responsibility to provide a full and detailed floor plan indicating entrance ways and fire exits prior to LES set up. Unless a site visit has been booked and paid for by the hirer, in which case it is the responsibility of LES.

It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure there are ample electrical sockets for the use of any lighting and backdrop equipment. LES will be return ensure that any class 1 electrical equipment being used is adequately PAT tested with certification being available for the venue upon request prior to event. Any costs arising from inadequate power supply shall remain the responsibility of the Hirer.

Laceys Event Services Ltd shall not be responsible for delays, cancellations, redesigns, additional labour costs or installation restrictions resulting from inaccurate venue information, venue access restrictions, venue rule changes, venue management decisions or information supplied incorrectly by the Hirer, venue or third parties.
Invitations, Stationary & Bespoke Items:

For stationery items and invitations ordered in separate batches or at different periods of time we cannot guarantee exact colour matches of card, ribbon or ink stocks to the original batch. This includes but is not limited to samples. We use the same regular supplier for all of our materials but as with all products batches vary so you may see slight colour variations in this instance.

All bespoke, personalised, made-to-order, custom printed, custom manufactured, handcrafted or specially sourced items are non-refundable unless faulty. This includes but is not limited to invitations, stationery, signage, table plans, welcome signs, branded materials, floral products, bouquets, bridal flowers and custom-built displays. Once production, sourcing or manufacture has commenced no cancellation or refund will be permitted

Any damages, faults, shortages or missing items must be reported to LES within 24 hours of delivery. After this period goods shall be deemed accepted and free from defect.

Where goods are supplied on a purchase, DIY or dispatch basis, delivery shall be carried out by an independent courier. Risk passes to the customer upon dispatch. Whilst LES will assist in providing tracking information and proof of dispatch, LES accepts no liability for delays, losses, damage or non-delivery caused by the courier or circumstances outside of its reasonable control.

All designs, mood boards, concepts, proposals, visuals, drawings, quotations, branding concepts and creative materials produced by Laceys Event Services Ltd remain the intellectual property of Laceys Event Services Ltd unless otherwise agreed in writing. These materials may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, supplied to third parties or used without written permission.

Where goods, artwork, branding, logos, copy or design information are supplied by the customer, the customer warrants that they hold all necessary permissions, licences and intellectual property rights. Laceys Event Services Ltd accepts no liability for copyright, trademark or intellectual property claims arising from materials supplied by the customer.
By securing your date by deposit you have agreed to be legally bound by this contract. If you do not agree to be legally bound by this contract then you have 7 days from the date of this contract to cancel your order. To cancel your order we must be notified in writing by email on the below details only and you must have received an acknowledgment from Laceys Event Services. By acknowledgment you will receive a refund of your deposit and a written receipt. Bookings made where delivery is required within the next 30 days are agreeing that no cancellation period is permitted.
